Hockey Canada implemented new names for its age divisions which took effect for the 2020 / 2021 season.
The changes align with the names used on an International level and will simplify the process of registration.

U5 (Instructional Program) - 4 years old
U7 (Initiation Program) - 6 years old & Younger
U9 (Novice) - 8 years old & younger
U11 (Atom) - 10 years old & younger
U13 (Peewee) - 12 years old & younger
U15 (Bantam) - 14 years old & younger
U18 (Midget) - 17 years old & younger
U21 (Juvenile) - 20 years old & younger
